I’m not a Pope basher (except in that I find incredible contradiction that a man who claims to be chosen by God rides around in a bulletproof Popemobile), but the simple truth is that some of the things that come out of his mouth are aligned with worldly thinking.
His most recent statements are fascinating in that, first of all, commercialism and capitalism are seen as such threats as to be included in New Age teaching, and, also, that the Pope uses the exact same language when addressing these subjects.
Reuters writes:
Earlier in his homily, the leader of the world’s 1.2 billion Roman Catholics decried “hotbeds of tension and conflict caused by growing instances of inequality between rich and poor“.
He also denounced “the prevalence of a selfish and individualistic mindset which also finds expression [in] unregulated capitalism, various forms of terrorism and criminality“.
[…]
In his full message for the peace day, the pope called for a new economic model and ethical regulations for markets, saying the global financial crisis was proof that capitalism does not protect society’s weakest members.
He also warned that food insecurity was a threat to peace in some parts of the world and strongly reaffirmed the Church’s opposition to gay marriage. [Emphasis added]
The Pope’s concerns about capitalism and commercialism are straight from the spirit of the Antichrist. Consider these amazingly-entitled articles from a new age organization which claims to channel the coming world leader:
- The Curse of Commercialism
- The End of the ‘Barbarian Age’
- The Poison of Market Forces
- Definition of “Sharing”
- Banishing the Fear of Sharing
- No Justice Without Sharing
- Sharing for Peace
- Cooperation – This article speaks directly about the “…root and dangers of competitive commercialism as it defines ‘the American Dream’”.
- The Future Role of the United Nations
And from whose mouth are we also hearing this preaching about social justice? Why, that would be the man acting as our current President. I’m not suggesting our current President is this coming world leader. Scripture says he will rise to power in the Middle East. What I am suggesting is that, no matter how it’s labeled, it all comes from the same source. It would seem that, in order for the world to be enslaved, commercialism and capitalism have to be painted as evil and done away with. Sound familiar? This is exactly what we are experiencing now. This is why the United States is being taken apart right before our eyes. Quite simply, as the freest society in the world, the U.S. has been the sustainer of freedom. So, if the U.S. goes, so goes the world.
