Recognizing the beast system also starts with knowing the reality of man’s corruption.
I think it’s safe to assume that almost everyone reading this has spent some time around children. Many of you may even be parents. I want to ask you some questions. Did you have to teach your children how to misbehave? Did you have to explain to your child how to properly lie about something? Does the school your child attends require him or her to take a class on how to hurt other people either physically or emotionally? If these questions seem ridiculous to you, it’s because you already know the answers before being asked.
What are a vast majority of children’s television shows about? Are they not about being good, obeying parents, using manners and showing respect toward others?
One of the most important responsibilities you have as a parent is teaching your child to do what is right. That is the battle. For each of us it lasts our entire life. So then, what exactly are you battling against? Why must your child learn and relearn how to do right? What you are battling against is an inherent sin nature we all have as humans as a result of certain events in the Garden of Eden thousands of years ago [Genesis 3]. I’m sure that just like any one of us struggles with certain sin in our lives so, too, we can at times struggle with accepting this reality.
The bad news. Accepting this requires a willing dismissal of denial you may not even be aware of and a coming to terms with reality. The reality is that man is not good [Psalm 14:1-3, Romans 3:10-12], not even neutral [Ephesians 2:1-3, Colossians 1:21]. That makes us enemies of God, and it is by our own doing [Matthew 12:30]. Every person who has ever lived on the face of the earth has, at one point in his or her life, raised up a rebellious fist of denial toward a God they knew existed [Romans 1:18-25]. Some are still in denial. Others are not.
The good news. The beauty of this reality is that you cannot tarry long at these conclusions without being aware of your own sinful nature and the forgiveness and cleansing you need through Jesus Christ “…who gave Himself for our sins so that He might rescue us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,” [Galatians 1:4]. It is then that you will find yourself at the foot of the Cross.
When the reality of man’s corruption is united together with the ambitions of the Original Conspirator, it should be of no surprise to us that the aspiration of fallen man is to control the entire world. After all, it’s there for the taking and Satan can give it to whomever he wishes [Luke 4:5-7].
