Speaking at an Islamic Society town hall meeting in 2012, U.S. Congresswoman Maxine Waters said, among other things, that Islamic Sharia was compatible with the U.S. Constitution.
There many things to consider from this video. For example, does it make sense to you to use the First Amendment’s Freedom of Religion to allow the free exercise of a religion in our country that forbids the free exercise of all other religions by penalty of death?
If we play this out to its logical conclusion, what do you think the end result will be? Freedom for all religions or the forbidding of all religions other than Islam?
Furthermore, our First Amendment doesn’t guarantee the freedom to practice any other religion in our country except Christianity. Our modern-day interpretation is just plain wrong.
That said, there’s something even more important I want to explore and that is this: how can anyone, particularly world leaders, come to the kinds of conclusions drawn in this video, namely, that Islam is a peaceful religion and Sharia is compatible with the U.S. Constitution despite all evidence to the contrary?
Speaking strictly secular, there are four reasons. They are either willfully ignorant, terribly misinformed, just plain lying for some sort of political gain or so frightened of Islam that they won’t tell the truth about it. Despite all appearances, members of Congress might be wrong about things but they are not stupid or misinformed. This leaves us with three options: willful ignorance, lying for political gain or REAL Islamophobia.
Well, I’d like to introduce a fifth option and it’s a far more concerning reason that’s contributing to the other four. It can be found in 2 Thessalonians 2. It’s called the “deluding influence” and it is a spiritual phenomenon. Consider this passage about the coming Day of the Lord:
Now regarding the arrival of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to be with him, we ask you, brothers and sisters, not to be easily shaken from your composure or disturbed by any kind of spirit or message or letter allegedly from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord is already here. Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not arrive until the rebellion comes and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction. He opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, and as a result he takes his seat in God’s temple, displaying himself as God. Surely you recall that I used to tell you these things while I was still with you. And so you know what holds him back, so that he will be revealed in his own time. For the hidden power of lawlessness is already at work. However, the one who holds him back will do so until he is taken out of the way, and then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will destroy by the breath of his mouth and wipe out by the manifestation of his arrival. The arrival of the lawless one will be by Satan’s working with all kinds of miracles and signs and false wonders, and with every kind of evil deception directed against those who are perishing, because they found no place in their hearts for the truth so as to be saved. Consequently God sends on them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false. And so all of them who have not believed the truth but have delighted in evil will be condemned. How does this relate to Islam? Consider, all of the nations Christ judges upon His return are listed by name in the Old Testament and they are all located in the Middle East not Europe. You can look them up yourself. Do a search for the word “pit” in the Bible and list all the nations that will be thrown into it. It would be a good exercise for you to do, actually. Now, what is the religion that occupies these Middle Eastern nations?
It’s time for the Church to wake up. We’re watching the culmination of the enmity between Isaac and Ishmael (Sarah and Hagar) from Genesis 16 play out in its finality in the Middle East. Just as Christ came through the line of Isaac, the Antichrist will come through Ishmael from whose line Islam came. It’s time to stop watching old white men from Italy that have nothing to do with Bible prophecy. The idea that Islam is a religion of peace is directly from Satan, himself.
God is judging our nation and when God judges nations, especially once-righteous nations, He uses nations more wicked to do it. This is why the world is having so much trouble with Islam. It’s not going to go away until Jesus Christ returns to defeat it.

What? Maxine Waters asserts compatibility of Sharia with the U. S. Constitution? !!! This news could snatch one’s breath away.
As I began reading your article, where you initially listed four reasons people might swallow such a twisted proposition, I was immediately saying to myself – “No! Not those reasons! It’s deception!” Quick agreement with you, as you showed the Biblical explanation, deception, from II Thessalonians 2. Oh, the tsunami of deception now! May all who love truth wake to the knowledge that warring jihad is a bedrock teaching of Muhammad’s Qu’ran.
And what is blind belief in THE JIHAD MANDATED IN ISLAMIC IDEOLOGY “inspiring”? Honor killings, oppression, brutalization of women, executions, crucifixions, beheadings, dismemberments, mutilations, kidnappings, slavery, forced marriages, thievery and spoilings, property confiscation, cruel imprisonments, tortures, destruction, misery, weeping, groanings, fear, rapes, pedophilia and child brides, lying, racism, discrimination, anti-Semitism, innumerable refugees (with its ensuing poverty), woman and child human shields, wars, conflicts, endless murdering sprees. Where else all this unimaginable evil, but from ha-Satan himself?!!! Koranic fascist ideology (promising salvation and sexual pleasures for MURDERdom) glorifies all this woe directly, or indirectly.
Alas, that blind analysts of this incessant Islamic call for violent jihad, keep crying, “Oops! The religion of peace is being hijacked by a few!” Perhaps nothing better illustrates this deception than the recent avowal of the leader of the free world: “ISIS is not Islamic.”
We Bible believers of The Book know that the book of Islam is NOT a book of peace, though myriads of precious Muslims individually do long for peace. How blessed are those who have faith in our Redeemer Messiah’s death and resurrection, for we have His indwelling Holy Spirit. Living inside our very being, He makes it possible, as Daniel prophesied, that “the wise will understand” though the world does not. How so? Why, just consider, with awe and gratitude, one of the names of He who indwells us: “The Spirit of TRUTH.”
