Daniel chapter 11 highlights the exploits of two of the kings/kingdoms that arose out of the broken Greek Empire. They are called the king of the North (Syria/Lebanon/Turkey/Iraq/Iran) and the king of the South (Egypt/Libya/Sudan). It is here that we find the geographic location of the Antichrist’s rise to power.
Daniel 11 says the Antichrist will become the king of the North kingdom when he steps up into power. Biblical action between the two kings of the North and South doesn’t resume until the Antichrist is king of the North kingdom at the time of the end.
“At the time of the end, the king of the south shall attack him, but the king of the north shall rush upon him like a whirlwind, with chariots and horsemen, and with many ships. And he shall come into countries and shall overflow and pass through. [Dan 11:40 ESV]
Can we really know that the king of the North is referring to the future Antichrist? In verse 36, during the transition from Antiochus Epiphanes (the near fulfillment of the prophecy) to the Antichrist (the far fulfillment), it says:
“And the king shall do as he wills…” [Dan 11:36 ESV]
Which king? The king of the North. Verse 15 identifies him as the king of the North and the use of the definite article “the” keeps the focus on him into verse 36. This means the future willful king (Antichrist) will be the king of the North.
When the action between these two kingdoms continues at the time of the end, the king of the South will attack the king of the North. Daniel 12:11 seems to suggest there will be a period of three years and seven months from chapter 11 verse 31 to verse 45, the ruin of the Antichrist.
It is my belief that we are somewhere around the knees of iron on King Nebuchadnezzar’s Statue [Daniel 2]. We are somewhere near the latter part of chapter 11.
These things deserve further study, taking into account why God curiously describes the king of Tyre in Scripture as Satan [Eze 28:19]. Tyre is located in modern-day Lebanon. Apparently, Lebanon used to be part of this Syrian empire. Interestingly, another similar description concerns the king of Babylon [Isa 14:12-21]. Revelation 2:13 also names Pergamum, Turkey as the location of Satan’s throne. I believe all of these references add additional Scriptural support to the idea of the Middle East as the geographic location of the Antichrist’s kingdom.

Can you picture a European Atheist rising to power in this region of the world? Didn’t think so. I’m afraid that, as our attention is focused on Europe and we try to revive a dead empire, we will be blindsided for lack of knowledge of what the Word may actually be teaching.

i find it interesting that shortly after Libya began revolting, the US was supporting Turkey to invade. this shows that the kingdom of the north is almost ready to come south [Daniel 11:40] however it’s not yet time. according to Scripture, the Antichrist must be the leader of this north kingdom first.
it will be interesting to see what happens in that area over the next couple of years.

hi Charles. though I am still considering that Obama may be a Muslim, scripture suggests in Daniel 11 that the Antichrist will rise as king of the North which is modern day Turkey/Syria/Lebanon. According to scripture, the desire of women is for their husband to rule over them, that is, to love them as Christ loves the Church [Genesis 3:16; Ephesians 5:25]. This is something that Sharia Law completely disregards to the extent of physical abuse toward wives. The Antichrist will rise to power in the Middle East. I do not believe Obama is the Antichrist.

i am glad for astute watchmen such as yourself, Charles. but consider that every nation the Lord does battle with upon His return is listed by name in the pages of prophetic Scripture and is currently located in the Middle East and occupied by Islam.

hi Charles. again, if you read through Daniel chapter 11, you will discover that the king of the North comes to be described as the Antichrist around verse 36. the territory that the king of the North rules is modern-day Syria/Lebanon/Turkey. this is where the Antichrist will rise to power. the so-called “Arab Spring” we are witnessing is the beginning of the formation of the the Antichrist’s future kingdom — a new Islamic Caliphate led by Turkey. Eventually, Turkey will clash with Egypt just as it says in Daniel 11. in fact, it almost happened already.

Also, consider that John was taken into the wilderness in the Book of Revelation:

the beast is named Babylon (verse 5). the question to consider is, does the Bible tell us where the wilderness is? the answer is, yes, it does, in Isaiah 21. it is an oracle about Babylon.
The oracle concerning the wilderness of the sea. As whirlwinds in the Negeb sweep on, it comes from the wilderness, from a terrible land.

it seems the sea would be the Persian Gulf beside which Babylon resides. it turns out that the geographic location of the future Babylon is actually where Babylon has always been. it is not Rome. it is not America.

If Iraq wasto fulfil the criteria of “Babylon” spoken of in the book of Revelation, it would take decades to build it nevermind having to become a trading center of the world.

Why does it read “his fathers”, as if the Lord is distancing Himself from this individual? Wouldn’t He have said “your fathers” when addressing His children? What religion could it be in which the individual spoken of would be regarded as an “apostate”? Which religion does this man claim to not “honor” and instead follows another? Revelation 20:4 states “And I saw the souls of those who were BEHEADED for the testimony of Jesus(christians?) and for the Word of God(Jews?).” An obvious clue?

of course, you know i believe the Antichrist will arise from the the religion of Islam. he will turn his back on the god of his fathers because he will eventually claim to be God and demand to be worshiped [Daniel 11:36]. he will honor a “god” of power and military might (a god of fortresses). an idol.
and yes, there’s only one religion that is actively seeking to behead Christians and Jews – Islam.
there’s no doubt that Obama has Islam in his background and is friendly toward the religion. i do have a sneaking suspicion that he is a Muslim. the belief and practice of Takkiya allows a Muslim to lie if it will contribute to the advancing of Islam. so, if he says he isn’t, it doesn’t amount to much.

The AS version and King James editions read Daniel 11:37 as such:

I dont know who inserted “the One”, but it is not in the original text. Similarily the Catholic version uses the term “lust” instead of “desire”, which makes as much sense as saying that not honoring the “desire of women” means this man is inclined towards perversion. I have pondered this verse for many years, having made no sense of it until the last election. It is an important verse. It identifies this individual in specific terms.
The issues raised during the election and campaign, and issues that continue to follow this man can be found in the book of Daniel.
We need to consider the description of Babylon fully, because the events that occured Sept. 11, 2001 match this description, as does the destruction, catalouging of commodities and subsequent reactions. We also need to realize that the apostle John viewed what he was seeing in the only terms available to him, as did Daniel.
I have studied these verses, and have watched the rise of this man.
Convincing is no longer required. The evidence included in my last 2 posts cannot be merely coincidence. Many people are of the impression that someone will rise from Europe. Is this a stumbling block?
There is no possible way that Iraq itself could possibly meet the criteria for “Babylon”, unless another “Babylon” was intended.
There are just too many coincidences pointing in the same direction at the same time.

Daniel 11:37 tells us the Antichrist will not regard his fathers’ god/s because he will declare himself to be God. It also tells us he will not regard the desire of women. What is the desire of women?
God tells Eve that her desire will be for her husband who will rule over her. He specifically explains just how a husband should rule over his wife in the New Testament.
Islamic Sharia Law teaches men it is their right to abuse their wives. Islam disregards a woman’s desire for her husband and how husbands are to love their wives as Christ loved the church.
Daniel 11:37 in the ESV reads,
This translation is saying that he will not regard the god of women either. In most translations, this part about women is between two segments talking about gods as though it is referring to a god of women. Most translations also use the word “other” or “others” before “god” to support this interpretation. The question is which is the correct translation? Interestingly, a woman-god can be found in Jeremiah 7:17-18, 44:17-19 & 44:25. She is an Assyrian and Babylonian goddess called the Queen of Heaven also known as Ishtar, Ashtoreth or Astarte (see Declaring the End from the Beginning). Daniel was writing while in captivity in Babylon. If he is making reference to the Queen of Heaven, it is further suggestive that the Antichrist will be of Middle-Eastern origin.
I must mention that some interpret this verse as meaning the Antichrist will be a homosexual having no desire for women. I don’t believe an in-depth study of the verse reveals this. (see The Antichrist: European Aristocrat or Middle Eastern Muslim? Part 2)
Also, I don’t believe Scripture allows for America to be Babylon and here’s why. Let’s look at Revelation 17:8:
The kingdom in power at the time of John’s writing was Rome. Since John tells us the beast was and is not, we can remove Rome from the list. John is saying that the revived kingdom will not be Rome, it will be one of the previous five – a kingdom that was (Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece). I can’t reiterate this enough so here it is again: one of the kingdoms that was will come again, not the one that is at the time of John’s writing. He uses the same sort of language to tell us again in Revelation 17:11. Since Revelation says it is Babylon that will be revived, there’s no reason not to take it literally since Babylon is indeed included in the list of previous kingdoms in the Book of Daniel. (see Will the Revived Kingdom Really Be Rome?)
Consider, Babylon’s destruction is complete and happens within one literal day [Revelation 18:8, Zechariah 14:6]. when Babylon is destroyed, nothing will ever come out of her again [Revelation 18:21-23]. one reason 9/11 does not fulfill this Scripture is because America is still here 11 years later.

yes. it is certainly suspicious. and conspicuous. i think we can safely conclude from the study of God’s Word that Obama’s words and actions are not consistent with one who follows Jesus Christ. we can tell who loves Jesus by their fruits [Matthew 7:16]. and i do think he may be a Muslim. but… Scripture tells us the geographic location of the Antichrist’s rise to power in Daniel 11 as I laid out in the article above. it is modern day Turkey/Syria/Lebanon not America.

I would say we are on the precipice of a worldwide enforced socialist movement led by a deceiving and manipulating leader who will force the world into a currency free debit system beholden to one central body. It is my opinion that this current U.S. leader fits that description. There is not much we can do except pray that we are renoved out of the ensuing chaos.
If he gets another term, I think he will take vengeance on those who oppose him. I am confident that you are aware of the system I am referring to, and that you know what to look for. It is entirely possible that things will become worse for christians this year, and that this man will get a second term, whether by vote or fraud.

Today, my 7 year old daughter brought a book home from school because she thought I should see it.
It is a book about this current leader. It is not an autobiography. It does reveal that he is indeed MUSLIM. One cannot attend madras as a registered muslim, and claim to be catholic. That is an APOSTATE.
If the stepfathers are muslim, the child is muslim. If the mother is an ATHEIST, the child is muslim according to islamic law. I am leery of posting the name of the book due to the bill recently passed in congress.
