The purpose of this article is to demonstrate that the United Nations, its people and its policies are under the influence of New Age spirituality. We will also look at UN-sponsored conferences with speakers who channel spirits.
The UN Meditation Room
“In the original plan for the new Headquarters, a tiny room had been provided as a place dedicated to silence, where people could withdraw into themselves, regardless of their faith, creed or religion, but Dag Hammarskjöld wanted something more dignified. In his efforts he was supported by a group, composed of Christians, Jews, and Moslems, the “Friends of the UN Meditation Room”, who combined their efforts and provided the money for a room worthy of a world organization.”
Did you know that the United Nations has a meditation room? It does and it was designed by the 2nd Secretary General of the United Nations, Dag Hammarskjöld. This is what it looks like.

The UN/Share International Connection
Share International is at the forefront of the New Age Movement (NAM). In fact, its founder is claiming to be in contact with the New Age Messiah and is publicly announcing his arrival. It is rumored that the UN sponsors Share International’s newsletter (though, through my limited web sleuthing, I could find no concrete information regarding this). Joe Schimmel below speaks about this connection. Pastor Joe Schimmel is head pastor at Blessed Hope Chapel. He also founded GoodFight.org and his conviction has been “…to teach and encourage spiritual warfare against the powers of darkness, and to share important insights as they relate to biblical prophecy and the end times.” Here’s what he has to say about the New Age Christ and the UN:
Pastor Joe Schimmel on the New Age Christ
There are a large number of articles which appear on Share International’s web site about the UN. This is perhaps the only one you need read to see the great hope and great influence the NAM has in the UN. In this article, the New Age Christ states that he and his “spiritual co-workers” (the Ascended Masters) designed the very political and economic plan that the UN hopes to enact. It is called “sharing” otherwise known as the redistribution of wealth on a global scale. It talks about the changing of the age and how the UN will help implement this idea of “sharing”.

- The UN hosted a speech by The New Age Christ to the Society of Enlightenment and Transformation on June 8th, 1999.
- Thursday October 7, 2005 marked the occasion of the 60th Anniversary of the United Nations and the 100th Anniversary of the birth of Dag Hammarskjöld, second Secretary-General of the United Nations. Here is the actual program in .pdf form which lists a myriad of New Age religious groups among others.
The number of New Age organizations that have influence in the UN is, quite frankly, astounding but there is only one promoting the emergence of the New Age Christ. After prayer and debate, I’ve decided not to post the links to these other organizations because of the reality of spiritual warfare. You can look them up yourself if you like.
The UN Sponsors Events with Speakers Who Channel Spirits
On February 18th, 2005, the Society for Enlightenment and Transformation (also listed on the above program) hosted a UNSRC event where a man, Lee Carroll, channeled a spirit named Kryon described as a loving, angelic entity. UNSRC stands for United Nations Staff Recreational Council.
